Should the UK assassinate suspected terrorists in foreign countries?

In 2015 Prime Minister David Cameron announced that it would increase the number of drone against suspected British terrorists to thwart potential attacks. On August 21 2015 U.K. drones killed two British jihadists in Syria – the first time the U.K. killed a Briton with a drone strike. In 2022 human rights groups accused the UK military of “targeting killing” when a drone killed Syrian arms dealer Abu Hamza al-Shuhail near Ras al-Ayn.

Only if they have planned an attack, are planning attack, or have committed an attack or are a national security threat.

If they are a direct threat, then yes. But this should not be used as an excuse to assassinate political entities that pose no threat outside of differing political views.

They should be treated the same way as people planning murders in this country. If it is safe to capture, imprison and interrogate them then that would be the better option.

Yes, but only in exceptional circumstances such as those surrounding the assassination of Osama Bin-Laden.

Yes, but only if there is undeniable evidence and if they’ve committed atrocities - not just in our country, we should protect other countries too.

No, because in practice the British Government has and will consider completely good and even Non-violent protesters as terrorists.

If they can maybe kidnap them and interrogate them to see if they're more attacks and if we can prevent them from happening
