Here are your answers compared to this voter’s answers.
Foreign Policy › Human Rights Act
9>9 Personal answerNo |
Healthcare › NHS Privatisation
9>9 Personal answerLess. However maybe have a 2-tier system like Australia where those that can afford it have insurance and those that can't still have the NHS? Emergency treatment and certain other treatments e.g. cancer treatments should always be free at point of treatment however (paid for by taxes), as cancer treatments especially can run into the 100s of 1000s. I think social care, dentistry and opticians should be the same. |
Foreign Policy › European Union
9>9 Personal answerUnsure. Some of the problems in this country are down to Brexit, but most of them are due to this incompetent uncaring conservative government. We could have had a deal like Norway has, and if we want to trade with the EU we will have to adhere to EU laws. Why wouldn't we want to trade with our nearest neighbours? We also need to clamp down on immigration too. |
Social › Gay Marriage
9>9 Personal answerYes |
the Economy › Taxes
9>9 Personal answerYes, for those in the top 1-5% |
Social › LGBT Adoption Rights
9>9 Personal answerYes |
the Economy › Minimum Wage
9>9 Personal answerYes, and make it a living wage |
the Environment › Environmental Regulation
9>9 Personal answerYes, and provide more incentives for alternative energy production |
Social › Death Penalty
9>9 Personal answerNo, spending life in prison is a harsher sentence |
Education › Tuition Fees
9>9 Personal answerUnsure. They should either be scrapped for students studying in-demand fields and/or greatly reduced for everyone. |
Immigration › Muslim Immigrant Ban
9>9 Personal answerMuslim immigrants need to be vetted individually instead of grouped altogether as terrorists. Once they're here, more needs to be done to integrate them into British society like what they do in Norway because they have completely different values and a lot of them want Sharia Law. |
Immigration › Immigration
9>9 Personal answerYes, our infrastructure is bursting at the seams - we cannot accommodate any more people. Violent criminals should definitely not be allowed in the country, no matter where they are from. Also worried about losing our culture when huge swathes of certain cities in England are barely English anymore. More needs to be done to integrate people from Arabic/Muslim societies into British society. We need to deport those who engage in the grooming gangs if they were not born here, imprison them if they were and arrest Islamic preachers/imams who promote terrorism/condone such activities against white people. We need to tell them if they are unwilling to integrate then they should leave, as a lot of them want Sharia Law and don't support human rights. The ones who do integrate and believe in our values are welcome to stay. Unfortunately though, lots of cities have issues with British Pakistani child grooming gangs and I believe they pose a threat to our children (and probably their own children). Also, more needs to be done to protect girls in certain communities e.g. Somali, Pakistani, other African communities from either FGM and/or child marriage. Any adult who was not born here found to be arranging that sort of thing for their child should be arrested and their kid taken off of them as it's child abuse and shows they don't believe in British values or women's rights. |
Science › Mandatory Vaccinations
9>9 Personal answerUnsure |
Healthcare › NHS Profit Reimbursement
9>9 Personal answerYes |
Science › Nuclear Energy
9>9 Personal answerYes, and nationalise the industry |
the Environment › Plastic Product Ban
9>9 Personal answerFor single use plastics yes, increase consumer incentives to recycle. For reusable plastics unsure, maybe once the person is eventually done with them give them an incentive to recycle them? Also think more pressure should be put on businesses to not use plastic e.g not wrapping food or parcels in plastic packaging, as that produces a lot of waste and adds to consumer waste, and increase incentives for recycling paper so we don't lose more trees because of this. |
Domestic Policy › Drug Policy
9>9 Personal answerYes, and tax them. People should not be criminalised for what they put into their body willingly, and people with addictions would be more easily able to get help. Only drug dealers should maybe get criminalised, more so if they're running a large empire as it funds other crimes e.g. money laundering |
Education › GCSE Exams
9>9 Personal answerI think GCSEs in Maths, English and Science are necessities for the benefit of society, as people need to know basic knowledge i.e. the Earth is not, contrary to increasingly popular belief, flat, evolution was and is a real continuing thing, vaccines don't cause autism and climate change is real. These things can only be taught in science classes. People need to know at least basic maths for every day life and English needs to be taught to foster critical thinking skills (also depending on the books and plays read they teach a bit of history as well, e.g. I read The Crucible and To Kill a Mockingbird in year 11. I do think a humanity and a language and/or IT is a need as well in modern society. People seem to have forgotten a lot of our own/simply don't know about our history these days and this lack of knowledge is fostering extremely fascist right-wing views about our country. Apart from those ones, vocational/skill-based courses should be an option for those who are interested, instead of being forced to take an art or woodwork/cookery GCSE (conversely, those who are interested in the arts or woodwork or catering should have that as an option as well). This would encourage a balance between a well-educated population as well as filling a skills gap for those who are interested and/or be well-suited to those paths. |
the Environment › Animal Testing
9>9 Personal answerNo for cosmetics, but depending on what drug or medicine we're testing then sometimes yes for animals. |
Transportation › National Railway
9>9 Personal answerNo |
Domestic Policy › British Monarchy
9>9 Personal answerYes, but gradually phased out over time |
Healthcare › Emergency Medical Care
9>9 Personal answerYes, and require visitors to show proof of insurance before entering the UK |
Immigration › Skilled Immigrants
9>9 Personal answerDecrease, and the government should provide more incentives to prepare our citizens for these jobs |
Crime › Demilitarize the Police
9>9 Personal answerNo, extreme situations should be handled by higher agencies with specialized training and equipment |
Elections › Minimum Voting Age
9>9 Personal answerNo |
Elections › Candidate Transparency
9>9 Personal answerYes, and require a public audit each year they are in office |
Foreign Policy › Trident Nuclear Weapons Programme
9>9 Personal answerYes |
Crime › Defunding the Police
9>9 Personal answerWe need to increase funding for police department's while also Increasing funding for social and community based programmes, as the lack of these is what's causing a lot of crime, particularly crimes committed by youths. The money is there but this government doesn't want to spend it/recoup lost money from Covid fraud! |
Elections › Right of Foreigners to Vote
9>9 Personal answerYes, but only after living in the country for 10 years |
Education › Grammar Schools
9>9 Personal answerWe need to uplift standards everywhere. Private and grammar schools increase inequality and should be restricted and/or taken down (private schools at the least shouldn't have charity status). We need to be like Finland. Also, all children, no matter how rich or intelligent they are, deserve the best education. Nobody should be left behind, children should be encouraged to achieve the best they possibly can and the current system doesn't encourage that. This is why we get swathes of kids that don't care about their education because their teachers have long since given up on them. I believe the return of selective education and reintroduction of grammar schools would perpetuate and worsen what we have now, especially when it's mostly middle class kids in good homes and loving families who get into grammar schools as their parents can afford private tutors for the 11+ exam. |
Domestic Policy › Zero Hour Contracts
9>9 Personal answerNo |
Crime › Criminal Voting Rights
9>9 Personal answerYes, but only after completing their sentences and parole/probation |
National Security › Foreign Assassination
9>9 Personal answerNo, they should be captured and given a fair trial |
Housing › Homeless Encampments
9>9 Personal answerUnsure |
Transportation › London Underground
9>9 Personal answerNo, and I will demonstrate my personal support |
the Economy › Transatlantic Trade and Investment Partnership
9>9 Personal answerUnsure. Don't know enough about it to make a judgment. |
Transportation › High Speed 2
9>9 Personal answerI don't mind the idea of HS2 but there needs to be more routes and improvements to existing routes in certain areas of the country e.g. routes from North to South Wales, routes around the north of England etc. So many communities are isolated because there are no trains, or the existing ones are barely up to standard. |
