Here are your answers compared to this voter’s answers.
Domestic Policy › Armed Teachers
9>9 Personal answerNo, this would increase the risk of accidental shootings |
Foreign Policy › Human Rights Act
9>9 Personal answerNo it should be significantly expanded on and enshrined in a UK constitution that parliament alone cannot change |
Healthcare › NHS Privatisation
9>9 Personal answerIt should remain public but must be massively decentralised |
Foreign Policy › European Union
9>9 Personal answerNo |
Social › Gay Marriage
9>9 Personal answerYes |
the Economy › Taxes
9>9 Personal answerThe centre of my political philosophy is georgist-libertarianism. I believe that each individual completely owns thier own body and that we all have equal ownership of the natural resources of our country. Not to mention economically the georgist argument makes significantly more sense than either communism or capitalism in it's current form. Land value tax with additional hefty taxes for using non-renewable resources or polluting. We should not levy income or corporation taxes. |
Social › LGBT Adoption Rights
9>9 Personal answerYes |
the Economy › Minimum Wage
9>9 Personal answerYes, and make it a living wage |
the Environment › Environmental Regulation
9>9 Personal answerYes, and provide more incentives for alternative energy production |
Social › Death Penalty
9>9 Personal answerNo, too many people are innocently convicted |
Domestic Policy › Government Surveillance
9>9 Personal answerPrivacy is one of the fundamental rights of every person and the default should be that government has no right to see your personal communications. If however there is a serious crime being investigated or a potential threat then there should be an option for police or intelligence services to access people's comms. There should be stringent legal controls on when this is appropriate, it should only be possible after a court order (with on call judges for time sensitive cases), it should all be stored confidentially, only that info relevant to the current investigation (as determined by a pannel of judges) should be admissible, and as soon as safely possible the person in question should be told |
Education › Tuition Fees
9>9 Personal answerYes but we should generate an industrial strategy for the UK and fund appropriate degrees, but not to the exclusion of the humanities or the theoretical sciences. We need these people too. It should however be more academically challenging to get into university. |
Education › Free School Meals
9>9 Personal answerYes, but only if they meet high nutritional standards |
Immigration › Muslim Immigrant Ban
9>9 Personal answerNo |
Immigration › Immigration
9>9 Personal answerNo |
Science › Mandatory Vaccinations
9>9 Personal answerNo, but require vaccination in order to attend public school |
Education › Critical Race Theory in K-12 Education
9>9 Personal answerNo, kids should be raised to be racially color blind instead of being taught they are inherently racist or disadvantaged based on the color of their skin |
Immigration › Immigrant Assimilation
9>9 Personal answerYes, but the government should provide free language learning courses |
Science › Nuclear Energy
9>9 Personal answerYes, temporarily while we increase investment into cleaner renewable alternatives |
Domestic Policy › Drug Policy
9>9 Personal answerYes for most but not all drugs and retroactively reduce sentences for those already serving time |
the Environment › Plastic Product Ban
9>9 Personal answerYes, and ban all disposable products that are not made of at least 75% of biodegradable material |
the Environment › Animal Testing
9>9 Personal answerYes, but not for cosmetics |
Transportation › Public Transportation
9>9 Personal answerYes |
Domestic Policy › House of Lords
9>9 Personal answerNo, appointed members provide stability and progress instead of political deadlock |
Transportation › National Railway
9>9 Personal answerNo |
Domestic Policy › British Monarchy
9>9 Personal answerNo, but reduce their funding |
Crime › Drug Trafficking Penalties
9>9 Personal answerNo, I do not believe in the death penalty |
Healthcare › Emergency Medical Care
9>9 Personal answerYes, and require visitors to show proof of insurance before entering the UK |
Domestic Policy › National Service
9>9 Personal answerIt should not be mandatory but you should not be able to vote or hold public office without having done national service. It need not be mandatory military service but you should have to take responsibility for a task of national benefit for a period of time and you should have to risk life and limb at some point. Those who have never held serious responsibility before do not grasp the enormous responsibility of voting. You should have to risk life/limb for it because something that isn't earned is not respected, and the price for such an immense responsibility as voting (exerting force over the rest of society) MUST be high. |
Crime › Demilitarize the Police
9>9 Personal answerYes, but only in response to extreme situations |
Elections › Minimum Voting Age
9>9 Personal answerI have no objection to the voting age being 18, I do however think that we should all have to earn the right to vote by 1. Doing a class on civics/law at high school, although I don't think it should be tested 2. Doing national service, this should not have to be the military necessarily but you should have to take responsibility for a task of use to society and you should have to risk life and limb at least one before being allowed the vote. The police, covid wards in hospitals, volunteering to test new drugs ect. should all be ok |
Foreign Policy › Trident Nuclear Weapons Programme
9>9 Personal answerYes, and upgrade the current programme |
Elections › Candidate Transparency
9>9 Personal answerYes |
Crime › Defunding the Police
9>9 Personal answerBoth need more funding, and the police need thier workload decreased by not pursuing victimless crimes. In order to provide this funding the UK needs to become much richer, to do this 1. we should move from a capitalist economic system to a georgist one and 2. develop an industrial strategy so that the government can light touch steer the UK economy in the right direction |
Healthcare › Safe Haven
9>9 Personal answerYes, drug abuse should be treated as a health issue, not a criminal issue |

Domestic Policy › Flag Burning
9>9 Personal answerNo, this is a violation of free speech |
Domestic Policy › House of Lords
9>9 Personal answerThere should be reform but we absolutely need an upper house that is much less worried by the day to day pressures of public opinion. The house of lords currently provides much much more competent and useful scrutiny of laws than parliament. I think the UK should be federalised and each region's government should appoint a certain number of lords who will serve for 20 years and then never hold public office again. They should not be members of any political party. I also believe there should be a third house of a mix of lawyers, scientists, historians and other professionals. They should not be allowed to propose laws or stop laws they politically disagree with but only those that enshrine things that are factually incorrect in law. |
Crime › Criminal Voting Rights
9>9 Personal answerYes, but only after completing their sentences and parole/probation |
Crime › Prison Overcrowding
9>9 Personal answerDepends on the crime. I do not believe any victimless crimes should be illegal however if you have committed a significant fraud for example then you have committed a non-violent crime that deserves punishment. I do however believe our prison system should look much more like Norway's. |
Elections › Mental competency testing
9>9 Personal answerYes, and politicians of any age should be required to pass a mental competency test |
Elections › Campaign Finance
9>9 Personal answerNo, and political campaigns should be publicly funded |
National Security › Foreign Assassination
9>9 Personal answerYes, but only if there is undeniable evidence they are planning to attack our country |

9>9 Personal answerYes |
